To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven Ecclesiastes 3:1
Devotion: This verse tells us that there will be seasons in our lives. This chapter goes on to talk about there being a time to be born and a time to die and lists many other seasons that we may go through. This is reassurance from God that we will have good times and bad times but that He will be with us through all of them.
Many people are disheartened to discover that following Christ does not mean that life is smooth sailing. Life simply does not stop giving us trials once we decide to accept Jesus into our hearts and repent of our sins.
There are many seasons in life some are good, some are not. Some seasons bring wealth and other great poverty. Others bring struggles and trials but are followed by seasons of great joy and accomplishment. Throughout all of these times, God is there walking with you. Holding your hand through the tough times and laughing with you through the joyous ones. The lesson in this is that we are not alone in our struggles or our joys.
So, what season are you in?
