Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
Devotion: In these three short verses, Paul tells us what God expects us to do without exception…ALWAYS. It isn’t just that we are to occasionally rejoice or to pray when we feel like it or give thanks only when good things happen. Paul says these are three things to do always, continually and in all circumstances.
Sometimes, we find ourselves searching blindly for God’s Will in our lives when the answer is listed plainly in His Word. This is why it is very important to read the Word daily and to seek the answers for our live from it.
Why are we to rejoice always, pray continually and give thanks in all circumstances? These verses give us the precise answer! Because it is God’s Will for us! Isn’t that amazing? We are always seeking this huge assignment from God and He has laid it out simply in these three verses.
